Many people have a great deal of good will towards their local church building, especially in rural areas and want to see the building available for future generations to enjoy.
Although you may not be able to participate in services as part of the congregation, you may be willing to support the heritage of St Michael's and help with raising funds to preserve the building. You may have connections with St Michael's that go way back in time, or you may wish to have the church available for family occasions such as weddings, baptisms and funerals, even if you don't attend church on a regular basis.
A Friends’ Scheme is one way in which the wider community can get involved to ensure that St Michael and All Angels, Bodenham is passed on to the next generation in a good state.
We hold a number of fund-raising events throughout the year such as concerts, lunches, cream teas, exhibitions, sponsored Christmas Lighting and Summer Fetes where all are welcome to join in - whether you are a member of the congregation or not.
Our aim by forming a Friends of St Michael's Group is to unite those who care about it's heritage and who want to help preserve the fabric of the building in order to advance the Christian faith.
A Bi-annual Newsletter is available for those who join The Friends of St Michael's and we also have a Facebook Group which you are welcome to join - these are especially helpful to members who support the Friends from a distance but want to be kept up to date with what's going on.
If you are interested in becoming a Friend of St Michael's, then please let us know.
