HISTORY

The village of Bodenham, Herefordshire is an ancient parish about seven miles south of the North Herefordshire Market town of Leominster.  It is a village of 'two halves', with the Church, War Memorial and Vicarage being in one half, and the pub (Englands Gate), Parish Hall and Chapel being in the other.  Some of the homes are built in the traditional black and white half timber style.  Nearby Bodenham Lakes is one of the largest stretches of open water in Herefordshire, covering around 50 acres, and an important overwintering and breeding area for wildfowl and other aquatic wildlife.

Bodenham Church is St Michael and All Angels.

There is a village pub, The Englands Gate, and a school, St Michael's Church of England Primary School.
